Welcome to the very first edition of the Pressolicy newsletter! If you’ve been looking for a quiet corner of the internet that prioritises depth over distraction, you’ve found it.
At Pressolicy, we believe that storytelling and structure go hand in hand. We are an independent creative project bridging the gap between imagination and everyday life. Instead of traditional, high-volume book publishing, we are focusing our energy on crafting sharp, resonant, shorter-form content and building actionable resources to support your personal and creative ventures.
Here is a look at what we built, wrote, and reflected on this June, alongside a sneak peek at a very busy July.
This month, we officially launched The OG Ink Hub - our dedicated space for deep reflections, nostalgic deep-dives, and cultural commentary. We kicked things off with a series of pieces exploring how we navigate life, technology, and simplicity in 2026.
June’s Reading List:
The New Frontier: Launching a Traditional Blog in the Era of AI and Short Video – Why we are doubling down on the written word in a world of 5-second video clips.
Trapped on the Sofa: When the Heatwave Knocks Out Your Moving Motivation – A highly relatable, slow-tempo look at surviving the summer heat.
The Voting Illusion: Why a New Prime Minister Won't Change the System – A cynical yet necessary look at world affairs and systemic political cycles.
The Trend Trap: Why We're Using Fashion as an Adult Escape Hatch – How our wardrobes have become coping mechanisms for 2026 survival.
A Simple Life: Why 90s Nostalgia Hits Harder in 2026 – Why our collective longing for the pre-smartphone era is reaching a fever pitch.
The Utility Grind: Shifting Your Power Supplier Without Shifting the Drama – Navigating the dry, frustrating, but necessary logistics of modern adult life.
The Lost Art of Being Bored: What the 90s Taught Me About 2026 Screen Time – A call to reclaim the empty spaces in our days from the constant pull of the screen.
July is set to be a massive month for the Pressolicy ecosystem. Not only are we expanding our essay lineup, but we are also launching a brand-new space for quick, actionable insights.
Launching: The URL Ink Room
While The OG Ink Hub focuses on slow, philosophical, and creative pieces, The URL Ink Room will focus on quick reviews, current affairs, and digital utility.
Keep an eye out for these early July releases:
Streamlining Digital Operations: A definitive guide to Google Workspace Tiers.
The Next Prime Minister: How Andy Burnham is rewiring UK politics.
Why the World Is Becoming More Dangerous (And what it means for the UK).
British Gas Exit Fee Rules: Our ultimate variable tariff review.
Fresh Essays on The OG Ink Hub
We have a stellar lineup scheduled for the rest of July, covering everything from tech fatigue to the beauty of mundane afternoons:

The Outsider’s Peace: On Stopping the Struggle to Fit In
The Performance of Authenticity: When Being "Real" Became Content
Dial-Up Tones and Speaker Buzzes: The Glorious Chaos of the Early 2000s Internet
Why I Write: The Pull of Words When No One Is Watching
Beyond essays, we want to give you practical, beautiful environments to create and read in. This July, we are incredibly excited to soft-launch the Pressolicy Companion.
The Companion is a serene suite of interactive, "slow media" tools crafted for your creative hours and reading rituals. It’s designed to help you cultivate stillness, find focus, and reduce digital noise.
Our first three tools dropping this July:
Distraction-Free Typewriter Desk: A minimalist writing canvas that plays satisfying, tactile mechanical key clicks with every word you type.
Focus Lantern: An ambient focus timer shaped like an classic oil lamp. The flame gently fades over time, ending with the peaceful chime of a singing bowl.
Personal Library Card: A clean, generalised personal ledger to track the articles you find across the web, log your reading minutes, and easily export your data as a custom CSV.
We are building this space entirely independently, fuelled by a shared love for structured creativity. If you want our essays, tools, and updates delivered straight to your inbox once a month, we’d love to have you.
Our next dispatch will arrive in July. Until then, take some time to step away from the screen, embrace a little bit of boredom, and enjoy the quiet.
